Midlothian Science Zone Business Forum - Complete particle sizing from nanometres to microns to derisk development and improve yield

  • Bush House Redwood Board Room. Bush House Edinburgh Technopole Penicuik, Scotland, EH26 0BB United Kingdom (map)

MSZ Business Forum connects businesses 'in the zone'. Join the official launch of this ground-breaking particle size analyser from Dyneval.

Midlothian Science Zone (MSZ) Business Forum is hosted several times a year to encourage engagement and collaboration between organisations 'in the zone'. We aim to bring together a wide range of businesses to identify shared support needs, collaborative opportunities and share knowledge across the region; signposting to research, expertise and business services. Guest speakers are invited to present on themes of interest and benefit to our community.

Our next Business Forum will take place on Tuesday 3rd February where we will be joined by Dr Tiffany Wood – CEO & Co-founder of Dyneval, complex fluids physicist with14 years solving industrial challenges and Dr Joe Bradley – Dyneval Lumero Product Manager and expert in particle size distribution measurement.

This is the official launch of Lumero S1, a ground-breaking particle size analyser from Dyneval. Discover how objective, concentration-independent measurements transform pharmaceutical R&D, reduce risk, and reveal hidden issues before they become costly failures.

What you’ll learn

  • The key considerations for particle characterisation

  • How to measure particle size distributions from nanometres to microns at almost any concentration with Lumero S1

  • Why traditional methods miss particle populations, and how this impacts stability and safety

  • How to detect aggregates and large, unexpected particles early in R&D

  • Ways Lumero accelerates decision-making in formulation, development and production

  • Real-world applications in advanced therapeutics, complex suspensions and PAT

Who should attend

  • Pharmaceutical R&D scientists

  • Formulation scientists & analytical chemists
