You'll be:

• Based in City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian, Midlothian - the advice we're giving has location specific guidance.

• Got an idea for a business, or wanting to check what you've done so far in the start up process

This hands-on workshop will guide you through the key steps to starting a business, including:

• understanding any rules or regulations,

• checking if there’s a real market for your idea, and identifying your ideal customers. We’ll show you how to reach them using simple, practical marketing approaches, with templates you can use straight away.

• helping you work out how much you need to live, how much it will cost to start, and how much your business needs to earn to be sustainable.

• We’ll also cover funding options and what grants/lenders are looking for.

By the end of the day, you’ll have a clear plan, practical tools, and the confidence to move your business forward.

Please bring anything you need to work through your ideas. There will be a one-hour lunch break (not provided).

This workshop is delivered by Business Gateway and is available to businesses based in Edinburgh and the Lothians only.
