MSZ Business Forum connects businesses based in Midlothian Science Zone for collaboration, partnership and support with guest speakers.

Midlothian Science Zone (MSZ) Business Forum is hosted several times a year to encourage engagement and collaboration between organisations 'in the zone'. We aim to bring together a wide range of businesses to identify shared support needs, collaborative opportunities and share knowledge across the region; signposting to research, expertise and business services. Guest speakers are invited to present on themes of interest and benefit to our community.

Fiona Marshall

Our next Business Forum will take place on Tuesday 24th November with Fiona Marshall, founder and lead consultant of Klarean Ltd. Fiona is no stranger to Midlothian Science Zone and is back ‘in the zone’ to provide us with an update on her experience and new business direction.

Klarean Ltd provides strategic consulting and board advisory services for innovation-led organisations, technology businesses, life sciences companies, SMEs, start-ups, scale-ups, and corporate organisations.

In addition to Klarean, Fiona will tell us about Senior Women in Science (SWIS), a professional network and leadership community established to support, connect, and champion women who have reached senior stages of their careers within the science sector. Its overarching ambition is to increase both the number and visibility of women in senior scientific leadership positions across industry, academia, and innovation-led organisations. The organisation is keen to extend this network to the East of Scotland, particularly in Midlothian.

If you would like to hear more about SWIS and what Klarean has to offer please register to join us for a presentation, with an opportunity for introductions and time to network with other Midlothian Science Zone-based businesses, and of course to meet the MSZ Team.
