Vault City targets energy self-sufficiency after major investment in solar generation
A brewery in Midlothian Science Zone has installed 400 solar panels as part of drive to become electrically self-sufficient.
Vault City Brewing is investing in renewable energy as it works towards becoming electrically self-sufficient, with a new solar installation expected to save the business nearly £33,000 per year. It is the UK’s largest dedicated sour beer producer, and has partnered with renewable energy specialist Clean Earth Energy to install 400 solar PV panels on the roof of its brewery at Midlothian’s BioCampus.
